Hi Jeff,
Just reread your “Amazing effects etc” book again. Highlighted a lot this time around, and enjoyed it so much. Am still telling everyone about it.

My test result after taking 32,500 iu’s of Peter’s bulk D3 from Vitaspace, for about 6 months was 149.6ng/ml, in US values( tested in UK).Was also taking the appropriate K2 amount, 42mg daily.
You advised me in Sept 2017 to stop taking the D3 for three months, (which my GP who had FREAKED demanded). I did so, but I carried on taking a smaller dose of the K2.

After 3 months, I started on D3 19,500 iu’s daily, along with 42mg K2 (per Peter). 6 months later, my level was 137.2ng/ml. GP again wasn’t happy!
I spoke to Peter from UK, he thought I should reduce down to 13,000 iu’s daily and continue on 42mg of K2.That’s what I’ve been doing now since about Aug this year.
Do you think that’s about okay or should I reduce it again ?
I don’t really want to get another blood test till I get back to UK around March 2019, but if you think I should I’ll just pay for it and get it done in the US.
The high doses have cured my plantar fasciitis, my shoulder problem that I had been scheduled to get steroid injections in, under ultrasound, in the operating room, AND depression! I’ve always had a lot of energy, but since taking the D3 I’m super energised!
So I’m LOATHE to reduce my intake too much! I am 5 foot 4.1/2 inches and around 122-3 lbs. Am very fit, swim, gym, hike & ski & snowshoe in winter here in Idaho. Peter thinks I’m sensitive to the D3 as I’m not fat.
Please advise me because I love the effects of D3. Also what dose is appropriate of the K2 please?
Forgot to say that my amylase was raised on the first test, but normal on the second.
I’d really appreciate your advice,
Thanks so much,

Hello Sita
Any value under 150 ng/ml is ffine asummer lifeguard at the beach regularly will test at 125/ng//ml
the current reference range values of 30 to 100 ng/ml were created by measuring the levels in the general US population. A population that has been told to use suncreen and avoid sunbathing since the 1980’s
Your Gp doesnt know the emerging facts….
I know some people who have to keep their levels at 150 ng/ml or their Crohn\s disease or psoriaiss will come back if they drop down to 100 ng/ml
I also know of a guy who takes 1 million iu\s per day for his MS and lots of k2 his calcium remains in the low range!!!
If your doctor had any idea what he was doing or she he would be testing your blood calcium level
no level of D3 can hurt you as long as your blood calcium is in the normal range….that’s really the only test you need….
as long as the d3 is making you feel good and your calcium is normal then any dose is fine
if you do start getting d3 toxicity = hypercalcemia the intial symptoms ot look for are>>> nausea rapid weight loss
in very rare cases a calcium kidney stone if you have the tendancy for stones
then you just stop the d3 for awhile
but then if you keep going>>>>
There is a general mnemonic for remembering the effects of hypercalcaemia: “Stones, Bones, Groans, Thrones and Psychiatric Overtones”
- Stones (kidney or biliary) (see calculus)
- Bones (bone pain)
- Groans (abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting)
- Thrones (polyuria) resulting in dehydration due to nephrogenic diabetes insipidus from nephrocalcinosi
s - Psychiatric overtones (Depression 30–40%, anxiety, cognitive dysfunction, insomnia, coma)
Other symptoms include cardiac arrhythmias (especially in those taking digoxin), fatigue, naus ea, vomiting (emesis), anorexi a, abdominal pain, constipation, & paralytic ileus. If renal impairment occurs as a result, manifestations can include polyuria, nocturia, and polydipsia.[6] Psychiatric manifestation can include emotional instability, confusion, deliri um, psychosis, & stupor.[6] Limbus sign seen in eye due to hypercalcemia.[citation needed]
Hypercalcemia can result in an increase in heart rate[7] and a positive inotropic effect (increase in contractility).
if taking 13,000 a day of d3 you might want to take at least 520 micrograms of the mk7 type of K2 and up to 1000 mcg of k2 if you can afford it
there is no toxicity with k2 at any dose known taking k2 helps take calciujm out of your blood and puts it bakc in your bones….
