While this book is interesting, a friend who has been, for over two years, using (I suspect) up to the highest dose recommended in the book, certainly within the higher range, together with vitamin K2, has become seriously ill with all the symptoms of overdosing with D3. At first he was suspected of (suddenly) having advanced dementia, and did have severe dehydration. He was taken to hospital last week and will be there for many weeks. Tests show results consistent with vitamin D toxicity.

Hello-that is unfortunate…the book suggests regularly checking one’s blood level for Vitamin D3 and Calcium levels (most importantly) if taking high doses….Likely he was not doing that….The good news is Vitamin d3 toxicity almost always resolves itself with a complete recovery given enough time off of d3…
his symptoms sound odd though…dementia is not one o the symptoms of D3 toxicity it is usually high blood calcium nausea, weight loss,,, and sometimes calcium kidney stones….so that;s a new one….
